I’ll guide you through the entire process
My name is Ayri and I live on Vancouver Island with my amazing partner, 4 dogs, 4 horses and two cats on a small acreage. I cant wait to help you to create the perfect piece of art featuring your amazing pet!
I love meeting new pets and people .. this will be fun and likely we will share lots of laughs. Don't worry about anything along the way! This process is meant to be a colaboration between my artistic style and the artwork you wish to share on your walls! I cannot wait to work with you!
01. Tell me about your Pet
I like to know a bit about your pet before you arrive, name, breed, favorite treat and what they like most in life are just some of the information I like to know. This helps me cater to the needs of your specific pet. Don't worry this is going to be fun!
02. Where should we shoot?
I believe its truly important to choose a location you love! Maybe its a spot you walk at every day or maybe its a place you rarely get to visit but adore! Sometimes we choose based on where the dog loves most.. but remember we are trying to make a piece of art you love to look at daily!
03. Season and timeline
I shoot in all seasons! Yes you read right. Though we may have to watch the weather for the best days I have found there are beautiful scenes EVERY time of year here on Vancouver island.. even if it rains. However we will cater to the look you are going for and if we have to reschedule due to weather.. no problem!
04. How do I prepare ?
I always recommend a fresh groom the day of or the day before for the best results. I am a groomer myself so I know how much better your dog can look if they are clean and brushed and especially if they are a dog that is groomed regularily!
05. When do I pay ?
There is a shoot fee due one week before our shoot which covers the shoot itself, once the shoot is completed we will meet up and you can decide how many shots you want and which artwork you choose to purchase.
06. My Dog isn't good off leash
Not to worry, most of the work you will see of mine is of dogs who are on leash! I have this leashes that you can use while on the shoot that will help me with post processing later.

Is it ok if my pet is not friendly with other dogs?
of course, I have access to some locations that will be completely private, just let me know during our consultation!
What if we want something more extreme for our photo shoot?
We are open to all ideas!! Whatever you are dreaming up we are game!
We have many dogs... do you offer shoots that include more then 2 dogs?
Yes! We can accomodate as many dogs as your would like. We may choose to do a composite shot to make sure we get everyone looking their best!
How long does it take to recieve the photos after the shoot and how will those be delivered?
We will meet after your shoot with your folder of shots and you will decide which package you want to go for. Once you have decided one your files a final edit will be completed and your product will be ordered. Usually this process takes 2 weeks,
I want photos will my pet, is this something you are willing to do ?
Of course! We are happy to take photos of your whole family with your pets! This is your photo to dream up!
What if it rains the day of our shoot?
We will keep in touch on the days leading up to your shoot! I want to make sure that we are getting everything we need to make sure we have the best shots and that includes weather! If the weather is looking off in the days leading up to our shoot we will discuss pushing the date !
